Golden Africa Safaris ran a best in class FAM trip in May 2023 in collaboration with some of our partners in Botswana – Natural Selection, Machaba and Xaro Lodge, which took us from Makgadikgadi salt pans, to the wilds of Moremi, to floating on the Lower Delta and then all the way up to the top of the Panhandle, exploring the culture of Tsodilo Hills and the magic of the waterways in that area.

There were many highlights – seeing 62 lion in 5 nights was a massive one, along with traversing such diverse areas and exploring beautiful Botswana in a different way everyday – from Mokoros, helicopters, rooftop sunrises, bush lunches, epic game drives, boating, and many scenic charters giving us an incredible bird’s eye view of the breathtaking landscapes!

So if you have any doubt to send your guests on a roving safari in Botswana, just read our experienced agents feedback below on the Golden Africa Safaris luxury roving camp  and to see what the ‘Golden Pride’ got up to during our trip – watch the incredible highlights of our adventure here:

My experience with Golden Africa was nothing but magical. The camp has held on to everything necessary to make it luxurious, but they’ve replaced the frills with soul. The team treats guests like family with so much thought and genuine care. Our guides were deeply knowledgeable and took the time to really educate us with information that impacted the way we viewed the natural world around us. I can trust Golden Africa to show me the most wonderful and beautiful parts of Botswana. I’m so grateful I found this amazing company.

The entire Golden Africa team catered to our every wish and whim, treating us to a surprise bush lunch and interactive map session, which were definite highlights. Our dynamic guide, Moa, with many years of experience, knew the area like the back of his hand, and taught us many new and interesting facts. Gathered around a crackling campfire without a phone or laptop in sight, we greatly appreciated the time we had to reconnect with nature, ourselves, and each other. A highly recommended roving camp experience in Botswana.

Golden Africa is an incredible roving camp. Surrounded by the breathtaking African landscape, every moment was like discovering a Hidden Gem. The people were so warm and welcoming, the location was pure magic, and the safaris kept us thrilled all the time. And don’t even get me started on the food – buenísima! The best part was that they took care of my dietary requirements too, making sure I had delicious options that suited my needs. It was like a dream, having this exclusive experience in the heart of Botswana’s wilderness.

Staying in the Golden Africa roving camps promised a true authentic safari experience and they delivered.  We were in the thick of the action and that meant we didn’t have far to drive to see wildlife, so we had some amazing sightings all to ourselves!  The guides and staff are all incredible and by the end of the stay you feel as though you’re family – and likely planning a return trip!
