Anthropological Safaris

Experience the Indigenous culture of the Ju! Hoasi Khoi San. The Ju!hoasi Khoi San of the Western Kalahari are a people with a strong rooted culture and traditions dating back millennia, due to very minimal contact with western civilization. The immense library of information that the elders of the Ju!hoasi Khoi San carry with them defies belief. Their tracking skills, so honed after decades of experience, are second to none. The hunting skills of the men and the foraging skills of the women in the harsh environment of the Kalahari ensure their survival. We don’t know how long this indigenous knowledge will endure, which is why the opportunity for this anthropological experience with Golden Africa is unmissable and a once in a lifetime 3-night expedition at the beginning or the end of a safari.

Fly camping

A very adventurous and unique experience for those looking to head further off the beaten track. This provides a special opportunity to get a grasp on what is happening in the ecosystem on ground level while still being surrounded by fantastic wildlife. A little taster – one gets to spend the night on a lantern lit island, after cruising the delta in the afternoon, enjoying a picnic lunch on an exposed sand bank and watching the extraordinary birdlife fill up the skies. Get close up to nature on foot as you explore the island while your dinner is cooked over a crackling fire. Sitting under the stars listening to the night sounds is the best way to truly get away from it all and be at one with nature. Add a little magic to your safari by including this thrilling 1- or 2-night rustic unchartered expedition!
