Welcome The Alexander Estate – Where Cape Town’s most iconic landscapes meet

At the base of Chapman’s Peak Drive, where ocean breeze meets mountain stillness, and Cape Town’s most iconic landscapes meet, a beautiful legacy story has come full circle. Welcome The Alexander Estate to the Africa Hidden Gems portfolio, the new five-star coastal vineyard retreat and Cape Town’s new luxury address opening to guests from mid October 2025.

This secluded boutique escape is the vision of Stephen Newton, honouring his grandfather Alexander Moir, who once dreamed of creating something extraordinary on this very land. Today, that dream is realised through six luxury suites at the Alexander Manor House and an exquisite Vineyard Villa, which comprises a penthouse and three exquisite suites each built with care, character, and sweeping views of vines, sea, and mountain, which can be booked out as a villa offering unparalleled luxury or as individual suites, catering for a multitude of different configurations required by the discerning traveller.

Intimate. Immersive. Incredibly special.

The Alexander Estate ensures an experience of true exclusivity. Every detail is intentional—from private heated plunge pools and log-burning fireplaces to curated on-site experiences designed to elevate every stay.

Guests might begin the day with sunrise yoga on the Cellar master’s Deck, spend a sun-drenched afternoon picnicking by the estate’s private Echo Dam, and toast the sunset with cocktails and canapés beside the infinity pool at the elegant Kakapo bar.  A sumptuous wine and oyster pairing, as well as mini high tea with grand baby piano, is included for each guest enhancing the full offering. Delightful additional experiences can also be booked to enjoy while at the Estate, such as a private cellar tour with our winemaker, whiskey tastings guided by a connoisseur or e-bikes to explore the Noordhoek Village.

Guests are also invited to indulge in the Estate’s Vineyard Spa, where Africology treatments tap into the healing power of Africa’s botanical heritage. Rejuvenate in the tranquil sauna, breathe deeply in the steam room, or stay energized in the vineyard-facing gym – thoughtfully equipped for both restorative movement and dynamic workouts. Whether it’s a post-yoga massage, a slow afternoon in the spa, or an invigorating session in the gym, The Alexander’s wellness sanctuary offers a luxurious pause in your coastal vineyard escape.

Dining at The Alexander Estate is a celebration of place, season, and story. Guests can gather at the Chef’s Table for a bespoke culinary journey, or savour intimate meals on the Cellarmaster’s Deck, where vineyard and ocean views frame each bite. Under the ancient oaks in the courtyard, long lunches stretch into golden afternoons, while the Manor House deck offers a front-row seat to the Atlantic horizon for unforgettable dining views. Mornings begin in the elegant Limelight Lounge, with beautifully plated breakfasts or fresh continental options. Between experiences, the 24-hour guest pantry and each suite’s minibar brimming with local delicacies provide indulgence throughout one’s stay.

Adding to the allure is the estate’s exclusive access to their renowned wines. It’s a rare opportunity to enjoy world-class wine in the very environment that shapes it. This is Cape Town at it’s best—where vineyard rhythms, ocean views, and mountain air meet in beautiful harmony.
